Hydraulically bound cement blends

Hydraulically bound cement blends are composed of a mixture of natural and/or recycled aggregates and hydraulic binder (cement), sometimes with fly ash addition.

The mix, formed with the correct proportion of materials, acquires strength after a suitable ageing, also in wet or frosty conditions.

The mix as such cannot be marked CE, as no specific harmonised standard has been issued, but its components must be CE-marked.

Technical standards regulating the composition and use of this product are the UNI EN 14227-1 standard (Mixtures bound with cement for road surfaces and substrates) and UNI EN 14227-5 (hydraulically bound mixtures for roads) with relation to aggregates, whereas soils must be compliant with the UNI EN 14227-15 standard (hydraulically stabilised soils).

Our services

We have a stable test lab and a mobile test lab unit – both UNI EN ISO 9001 certified – that can test the features of mixtures without binder and fresh or hardened hydraulically bound cement in compliance with the main standards of this sector.

The Laboratory is equipped with all of the necessary facilities to collect samples directly.

Our technical staff can provide support to your company for:

  • Preparing all required documents and procedures;
  • Studying mixes for specific purposes;
  • Performing on-site tests thanks to a fully equipped mobile lab unit..
